The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and Macao is pleased to present: True Italian Taste - A Sensory Journey: The Olive Oil Experience, a dedicated event within the project True Italian Taste, organized as part of the campaign "The Extraordinary Italian Taste". The campaign is promoted and financed by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and implemented by Assocamerestero in collaboration with Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad.

True Italian Taste is an initiative that aims to raise awareness on the benefits derived from the use of authentic Italian DOP (PDO - Protected Designation of Origin) and IGP (PGI - Protected Geographical Indication) agri-food products. In doing so, the project hopes to support makers of certified Italian products while showcasing the healthy qualities of Italian food.

Olive oil is one of the healthiest and oldest oils, pillar of the Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, and it is an omnipresent ingredient in every kitchen. There is so much that can be said, and yet so little is known about it. How is olive oil made and how many varieties are there? How should you taste and use olive oil?

During the Masterclass, an olive oil expert will present and take our guests on an extraordinary journey discovering 3 different Italian Olive Oils from 3 different regions, respectively from Sicily, Apulia and Tuscany. Participants will learn through this exclusive online Masterclass the secrets behind this superb ingredient - including its health-giving properties and the importance of recognizing the authenticity of the Italian Olive Oil.
